Vice President, Client Partnerships

Tanya Frey partners with nonprofits to build strong, high-performing teams through executive search and organizational development. She specializes in identifying leaders who align with an organization’s values and long-term vision. With a high-touch, customized approach, Tanya ensures nonprofits secure executives who not only excel in their roles but also amplify the organization’s ability to create lasting, transformative impact.

At ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tanya was entrusted with launching the Mid-South Territory, overseeing seven states and five executive director-led offices. She led a 50-person team, achieving 0% turnover in the first year, a reflection of the strong leadership culture she cultivated. Under her direction, the territory set the standard for experiential and programmatic revenue, leading the nation in performance while executing multi-million-dollar fundraising events that expanded donor engagement and fueled the mission of St. Jude.

Before stepping into this role, Tanya led ALSAC’s Transformation Office, where she implemented a divisional change management structure to drive strategic growth. Earlier in her career, she helped build ALSAC’s Legal Division, shaping regulatory strategy for the $2.5 billion organization and leading legal teams through the complexities of nonprofit governance and compliance.

A dedicated advocate for workplace equity and leadership development, Tanya serves on the board of directors for the Nonprofit Quarterly; Slingshot Memphis, a poverty-fighting organization that partners with nonprofits to measure and improve impact; the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Memphis Chapter and is a mentor for AFP Global. In recognition of her leadership, she was named one of Memphis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. Tanya is a highly regarded speaker at national conferences, where she offers expert insights on leadership, nonprofit strategy, and driving organizational impact.

Tanya holds a J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law and a B.A. in Social Justice from Hendrix College. Based in Memphis, she and her husband keep up with their three teenage boys and two rescue dogs while she works toward her goal of visiting every SEC football stadium—yes, even Texas and Oklahoma… eventually.
