Charles Pagnam
Senior Advancement Leader and Fundraising Strategist
Charlie Pagnam brings more than 45 years of fundraising leadership to TAG.
Charlie began his career at Yale University, where he spent more than 28 years in leadership roles within the development office, including seven years as Vice President. He played a key role in two comprehensive campaigns, most notably overseeing “…and for Yale.” The campaign set a $1.5 billion goal built on three equal priorities: $500 million for endowment, $500 million for facilities, and $500 million for current use, including financial aid. At the time, a $500 million goal for facilities was unprecedented in higher education. The campaign closed at $1.72 billion, the most successful campaign in higher education at the time.
Following his time at Yale, Charlie was Vice President for Advancement and Executive Vice President of the $1 billion University of Massachusetts Foundation. He set the strategic direction and oversaw campaigns including one of $250 million–at that time the largest in the University’s history. He also oversaw the creation of an in-house Investment Office to manage the Foundation’s $1 billion endowment.
