Vice President, Client Partnerships
Melissa has over 25 years of experience in strategic development, fundraising, and donor engagement. After beginning her career as a Banker in the Private Wealth Division at Wells Fargo in Atlanta, Melissa served as a development officer, with a special emphasis on planned giving, at Duke University Medical Center. Currently living in Darien, Connecticut, she is an active member of several local boards (including Darien Library and The Community Fund of Darien) and as such has been heavily involved in fundraising, donor engagement, special event planning and communications. Additionally, she acted as Reunion Gift Chair for Davidson College and served as a Deacon for Noroton Presbyterian Church.
Melissa grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended The Westminster Schools. She received a B.A. in English from Davidson College, where she also captained the Women’s Tennis Team. She is almost done raising three fantastic children and she still looks after two wayward yellow labs and one very non-plussed but beautiful calico cat.
